Polyphenol power: grape & apple extract may boost exercise in thin air
NCT ID NCT07518758
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a supplement called Vinitrox™, made from grape and apple polyphenols, can improve blood vessel function and exercise performance in healthy adults during moderate exercise in low-oxygen (hypoxic) conditions. 38 physically active volunteers will take either the supplement or a placebo before an exercise session. Researchers will measure blood vessel dilation, oxygen levels, and exercise output to see if the supplement provides any benefit.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Vinitrox™ (polyphenol supplement from grape and apple extracts)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a natural supplement that helps athletes or people in low-oxygen environments perform better and maintain healthy blood vessel function.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial in healthy volunteers, not patients. The effects may be minor or not translate to real-world performance. As a dietary supplement, it is not a treatment for any disease.
