First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study compares two treatments for back pain caused by facet joints: radiofrequency ablation (which numbs nerves but can damage spinal muscles) and peripheral nerve stimulation (which may relieve pain without harming muscles). Researchers will measure pain levels, disability, and muscle function in 70 adults aged 18–80. The goal is to see if nerve stimulation is a safer alternative.
