First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study follows 80 adults who had coronary bypass surgery to see how developing pneumonia in the hospital affects their heart and lung health over the next year. Researchers will compare patients who get pneumonia with those who don't, using blood tests, heart and lung function tests, and imaging. The goal is to find early warning signs that could help personalize prevention and improve recovery.
