First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested two treatments made from patients' own blood—platelet-rich plasma and platelet-fibrin plasma—to see which heals diabetic foot ulcers better. 56 adults with diabetes and slow-healing foot wounds took part. Both treatments were added to standard wound care. The main goal was to compare how many wounds healed within 4 weeks.
