Plasma vs. standard care: race to save burn victims

NCT ID NCT07212998

Summary

This large trial aims to find out if giving plasma (the liquid part of blood) as soon as possible after a severe burn is better than standard resuscitation fluids at saving lives and preventing organ failure. It will enroll about 750 adults with burns covering at least 20% of their body. The main goal is to see if early plasma reduces deaths or the need for life support within 28 days.
