First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at how plant sterols (natural compounds found in plants) affect a newly discovered gene called GPR146, which helps control cholesterol. Researchers will give 23 healthy adults three different test meals and measure gene activity in their blood and gut cells. The goal is to understand how plant sterols might help lower cholesterol by influencing this gene.
