NCT ID NCT06001450

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at how tiny plastic particles (microplastics) in our environment might affect gut health and inflammation. Researchers will measure microplastics in stool samples from pregnant women, their families, and healthy volunteers to see if they are linked to Crohn's disease or other inflammatory bowel diseases. The goal is to better understand environmental risks and find ways to prevent these conditions.
