Tiny placental 'Bubbles' could hold key to dangerous pregnancy conditions
NCT ID NCT07470320
Summary
This Oxford University study aims to understand how tiny particles released by the placenta contribute to serious pregnancy complications like pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes. Researchers will collect samples from 360 women, including those with healthy pregnancies and those with complications, to analyze these particles in the lab. The goal is to learn how these conditions develop and identify potential markers for earlier detection, which could lead to better future treatments.
