First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at how tiny particles released by the placenta, called extracellular vesicles, affect pregnancy complications like pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes. Researchers will collect samples from 360 pregnant and non-pregnant women to understand these particles' role in health and disease. The goal is to find new ways to detect and treat these conditions early, improving outcomes for mothers and babies.
