New study aims to predict dangers of deep placenta attachment

NCT ID NCT07452185

First seen Mar 15, 2026

Summary

This study looks at pregnant women with placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterus. Researchers will use ultrasound to check if the placenta has invaded the cervix and measure cervical length. The goal is to learn how common cervical invasion is and whether a short cervix leads to early labor. No new treatments are tested—only information from routine care is collected to help doctors plan safer deliveries.
