First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at how placebos (fake treatments) work in the brains of people who have had a stroke. Researchers want to see if knowing you are getting a placebo changes brain activity and helps with recovery. About 56 adults with arm weakness from a chronic stroke will take part. The goal is to find new ways to make stroke rehab more effective.
