Summary
This study tested a combination of two cholesterol-lowering medicines (Pitavastatin and Ezetimibe) in 88 adults with high cholesterol and high triglycerides. The goal was to see if the combo works better than Pitavastatin alone at reducing LDL (bad) cholesterol over 8 weeks, with safety checks up to 52 weeks. Participants had either metabolic syndrome or type 2 diabetes.
