Gentle 'Hug' device aims to help premature babies breathe

NCT ID NCT07396103

Summary

This study is testing a soft, wearable device called PIMUN to see if it can safely help premature babies breathe better. The device gives gentle, rhythmic pulses on the baby's back to encourage breathing and reduce episodes of low oxygen. Researchers will compare 48 hours using the device to 48 hours of standard care in about 20 babies born very early.
