Tiny vest could help fragile preemies breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07396103

Summary

This study is testing a soft, vibrating garment called PIMUN to see if it helps premature babies breathe more regularly and reduces dangerous drops in their oxygen levels. Researchers will compare 48 hours of using the device to 48 hours of standard care in 20 very premature infants. The main goal is to see if the gentle back stimulation safely reduces the total time a baby's oxygen is too low.
