Summary
This study tested whether Pilates or treadmill walking is better for improving core strength, breathing capacity, and overall fitness in healthy older adults. Twenty-nine seniors aged 60-77 were split into groups doing either Pilates, walking, or their normal routine for 8 weeks. Researchers measured core endurance, lung function, and walking distance to see which exercise helped more with daily activities and quality of life.
