First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares two exercise programs—Pilates and progressive prone planks—to see which better reduces pain, strengthens muscles, and closes the gap in abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) in women after childbirth. About 34 women who gave birth 6 to 12 months ago and have at least a 2 cm muscle gap will participate. The goal is to find a safe, effective way to manage this common postpartum condition without surgery or medication.
