Heart attack aftermath: can we predict which blockages are dangerous?
NCT ID NCT06506448
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at people who had a major heart attack (STEMI) and have other blockages in their heart arteries. Doctors want to find out which of these extra blockages are likely to cause future problems and which are safe to leave alone. Using CT scans and blood tests for inflammation, the goal is to personalize treatment so only high-risk blockages get stents, while others are managed with medication. About 320 participants will be followed for 2 years.
