New drug trial aims to tame painful joint and skin disease

NCT ID NCT07295509

Summary

This study is testing a new injectable drug called picankibart for people with active psoriatic arthritis, a condition that causes joint pain, swelling, and skin plaques. Over 200 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo injection to see if it safely reduces joint symptoms and improves physical function and skin health. The main goal is to see how many people experience at least a 20% improvement in their joint pain and swelling after 24 weeks.
