First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a physiotherapy program that combines neck muscle exercises with a gentle nerve stimulation technique (transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation) in 50 adults with migraine. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce pain, improve daily function, and boost quality of life, sleep, and mood. Participants will be followed for several weeks to track changes.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
physiotherapy program including transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation and cervical muscle exercises
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a drug-free way to reduce migraine pain and improve daily function and quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 50 participants, so results may not apply widely. The intervention may not provide significant benefit over standard care.
