Summary

This study will test whether giving primary care doctors easy-to-read reports from patients' Fitbits helps them counsel patients with high blood pressure to be more active. About 330 patients and their doctors will take part. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost approach can increase physical activity and improve blood pressure control.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could provide a low-cost, scalable way for primary care doctors to help patients with high blood pressure become more active.

What could go wrong

This is a relatively small, early-stage behavioral study. The intervention may not significantly increase activity or lower blood pressure, and results may not apply to other clinics.
