First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested the safety of a vaginal tablet called pHyph in 32 adult women with bacterial vaginosis (BV). pHyph uses a natural substance to restore the vagina's acidity, helping good bacteria thrive and reducing bad bacteria. Participants used the tablet daily for 12 days, and researchers monitored side effects and vaginal health over 25 days. The goal was to see if a longer treatment is safe and well-tolerated.
