First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether shining a special light (photobiomodulation) on the calf muscles can reduce spasticity in children with cerebral palsy. Twelve children aged 2 to 18 received either real or placebo light therapy once a week for two months, alongside their usual care. The goal was to see if this safe, painless treatment could improve muscle tone and movement.
