Light therapy offers hope for cancer survivors with persistent swelling

Summary

This study tests a light-based treatment called photobiomodulation to reduce chronic swelling (lymphedema) in the head and neck area after cancer treatment. It involves 150 adult survivors who have had head and neck cancer and still have swelling that hasn't fully responded to standard therapy. Participants will receive either the light treatment or a placebo to see if it safely eases their symptoms.
