Light therapy may ease chemo brain fog in breast cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT06995443

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a non-drug light treatment called photobiomodulation to see if it can improve memory and thinking problems (chemobrain) in women who had chemotherapy for breast cancer. About 200 women who finished chemo within the past year and have ongoing cognitive complaints will receive either the light treatment or a placebo. The goal is to find a safe, side-effect-free way to ease these common post-chemo symptoms.
