First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at how long-term phosphate therapy affects the kidneys, blood vessels, and heart in people with two rare bone disorders: X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) and hereditary hypophosphatemic rickets with hypercalciuria (HHRH). Researchers will measure hormone levels and check organ function in 30 participants aged 13 and older. The goal is to understand the risks of current treatments and how they might influence healthy aging.
