Local pharmacists take lead in fight against rural smoking
NCT ID NCT05660525
Summary
This study is testing a new program where community pharmacists help people in rural Appalachia quit smoking. It will compare different combinations of support, like text messages, phone coaching, and nicotine replacement therapy (patches and lozenges), to see what works best. The goal is to find the most effective and practical way for pharmacists to help their patients stop smoking for good.
