New PET tracer could light up tumors for better cancer imaging
NCT ID NCT06894745
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-phase study tests a new radioactive tracer called [89Zr]DFO-starPEG to see if it can make tumors show up better on PET scans. The goal is to learn how the tracer behaves in the body and whether it can help doctors see the "leakiness" of tumor blood vessels, which may guide future treatments. About 13 adults with solid tumors will receive the tracer and have PET scans to measure uptake and safety.
