First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study uses special PET/CT scans to see how radiation therapy for lung or esophageal cancer affects the heart. About 20 adults getting radiation will have heart scans before, during, and after treatment. The goal is to learn if these scans can detect heart changes caused by radiation, which may help doctors protect the heart in future patients.
