New scan could better detect prostate cancer spread in High-Risk men

NCT ID NCT05097274

Summary

This study aims to determine if a PET-CT scan is better than standard MRI and bone scans at finding prostate cancer that has spread in men with specific inherited genetic mutations. Researchers will compare how well each method detects cancer in lymph nodes and distant organs in 50 men with prostate cancer and DNA repair gene mutations. The results could help doctors make more accurate treatment decisions for this high-risk group.
