New scan aims to help surgeons see cancer more clearly

NCT ID NCT06970275

Summary

This study is observing whether a new, high-resolution PET-CT scan of a tumor immediately after it's removed can help surgeons and doctors. The goal is to see if the scan's images match the lab results and if using this information during surgery leads to better long-term outcomes for patients. It will enroll about 850 people with cancers like prostate, breast, or head and neck cancer who are having surgery.
