Could pesticides and gut bugs hold clues to endometriosis?

NCT ID NCT07471373

Summary

This study aims to understand how pesticide exposure might be linked to endometriosis, a painful condition that can cause infertility. Researchers will compare 160 women with and without endometriosis, measuring stress markers in their blood and analyzing the bacteria in their gut and reproductive tract. The goal is to find biological 'signatures' that could lead to better future diagnosis and treatment options, not to test a new therapy directly.
