Scientists map how damaged nerves control muscles
NCT ID NCT06608121
Summary
This study aimed to create personalized mathematical models of how much muscle force people with arm weakness from stroke, multiple sclerosis, or spinal cord injury can still produce. Researchers measured 32 patients' shoulder and elbow strength to understand their remaining abilities. This knowledge could help design better rehabilitation exercises and future robotic aids that adapt to a person's specific capabilities.
