First seen Jun 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether personalized motivational messages sent via apps like WhatsApp could improve thinking and memory in lung cancer survivors who have mild cognitive impairment. 124 survivors who had finished treatment 6 months to 5 years earlier took part. Some received a wearable activity tracker and tailored messages to encourage physical activity, while others got standard information. The goal was to see if increasing activity through these messages could help with cognitive function, mood, and quality of life.
