High-Tech motion analysis paves way for custom walking rehab

NCT ID NCT04292717

Summary

This study tested whether a personalized approach to walking therapy works better than standard therapy for people with spinal cord injuries or multiple sclerosis. Researchers used 3D motion capture to analyze each person's specific walking problems and then designed a six-week training program targeting those issues. They compared this personalized training to general walking exercises to see which helped people walk farther and better.
