Personalized tablet activities may boost brain training in seniors with mild cognitive impairment
NCT ID NCT03292705
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a personalized computer program (PEP) could improve attitudes toward technology and engagement with cognitive training in 49 older adults with mild cognitive impairment living in senior communities. Participants first used PEP or a control activity for 4 weeks, then all completed 6 weeks of standard cognitive training. The goal was to see if personalized, enjoyable computer use could make subsequent brain training more effective.

What this could lead to
If it works, this approach could make cognitive training more engaging and effective for older adults with mild memory problems.
