Brain zaps tailored to you: new hope for PTSD?

NCT ID NCT07526285

First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a personalized form of brain stimulation called PrTMS for treating PTSD in military veterans. Unlike standard treatments, it uses a simple brainwave test (EEG) to customize therapy for each person. Over 6 weeks, 100 participants will receive either real or sham treatment, and researchers will track changes in PTSD symptoms, mood, and sleep. The goal is to see if this tailored approach provides better and longer-lasting relief.
