Scientists test tailored brain zaps to soothe pregnancy blues

NCT ID NCT06979154

Summary

This is a small, early-stage study to see if a personalized, non-invasive brain stimulation technique is safe and tolerable for pregnant women with depression. Researchers will test the approach on 10 participants—five healthy women and five with antenatal depression—to check for side effects and see if it's practical to use. The main goal is to gather initial safety data, not to prove it treats depression effectively.
