New lung cancer radiation approach aims to cut treatment time and side effects

Summary
This early-stage trial tests a personalized, accelerated radiation method (called HART) combined with chemotherapy for people with locally advanced lung cancer. The goal is to see if a shorter, more targeted radiation schedule can control the tumor while reducing lung and throat side effects. About 45 adults with non-small cell or small cell lung cancer will take part.
