First seen Nov 25, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a sugar solution (dextrose) to numbing injections around knee nerves provides better pain relief than numbing medicine alone for people with chronic knee osteoarthritis. Sixty adults with knee arthritis will receive a series of three injections targeting four nerves around the knee. Researchers will measure pain levels before and up to 90 days after treatment to see which approach works better.
