NCT ID NCT07534137
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a special nerve block called PENG can help people who have partial hip replacement surgery feel less pain and need fewer painkillers. 48 adults having hip surgery were split into two groups: one got the nerve block plus standard care, the other got standard care alone. Researchers measured how much tramadol (a strong painkiller) each group needed in the first 24 hours after surgery, along with their pain scores and recovery.
