Magnetic therapy device aims to heal diabetic foot wounds
NCT ID NCT07465640
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study tests a device called CRAD ULCER X-01 that uses pulsating electromagnetic fields (PEMF) to help heal diabetic foot ulcers. 32 people with chronic, non-healing ulcers will be split into groups receiving standard wound care plus either a placebo or 1-3 hours of PEMF daily for up to three months. Researchers will measure wound healing and tissue changes to see if the device is effective.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Pulsating electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy via the CRAD ULCER X-01 device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a new, non-invasive way to help heal diabetic foot ulcers faster, reducing the risk of severe complications.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study (32 people) and not yet recruiting. The results may not apply to all patients, and the device's effectiveness is still unproven.
