Immunotherapy before surgery shows promise for aggressive uterine cancer

This study tests whether giving the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab before standard surgery can shrink tumors in people with a specific type of uterine cancer (MMRd). Twelve participants will receive 9 cycles of pembrolizumab before their hysterectomy. The goal is to see how many have a major response in the tumor tissue, which could lead to a larger trial comparing this approach to standard care.
