New study tests carbon ion therapy against surgery and proton therapy for pelvic sarcomas

Summary

This study compares carbon ion therapy, surgery, and proton therapy for people with pelvic bone sarcomas (a type of cancer). The goal is to see which treatment provides better disease control and fewer side effects, and to measure quality of life after treatment. About 72 participants aged 15 and older with newly diagnosed pelvic sarcomas will be enrolled.
