First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether a physiotherapist-led program, including pelvic floor muscle training, could improve bowel function and quality of life in people who had ileo-anal pouch surgery. 53 patients were randomly assigned to either the behavioral intervention or standard care. The main goal was to see if the training led to better bowel control and fewer symptoms.
