New study tests breathing and relaxation for postpartum tailbone pain

Summary

This study tests whether pelvic floor down training—gentle breathing and relaxation exercises—can reduce tailbone pain in new mothers. Fifty-two women, 6 months to 1 year after childbirth, will practice these exercises daily. Researchers will measure pain and daily function before and after the program.
