First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether injecting a sugar solution (dextrose) into the tailbone area can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with long-lasting tailbone pain (coccydynia). About 30 adults aged 18-75 who have had pain for at least 3 months without relief from other treatments will receive the injections. Researchers will measure pain levels and functional ability before treatment and one month after the final injection.
