First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether injecting a dextrose (sugar water) solution into the tailbone area can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with long-lasting coccydynia (tailbone pain). About 30 adults with pain lasting 3 months or more will receive the injections and be monitored for one month. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost treatment offers relief when other treatments have failed.
