New pill targets tough blood cancers in major trial

Summary
This study tested a new oral drug called pelabresib for people with advanced blood cancers like myelofibrosis. The first part aimed to find a safe dose. The second part tested if pelabresib, given alone or with another drug (ruxolitinib), could shrink enlarged spleens, reduce the need for blood transfusions, and ease symptoms like fatigue and pain.
