Doctors get report cards: will peer pressure lower blood pressure?
NCT ID NCT05160012
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether sending primary care doctors a monthly report comparing their hypertension control rates to peers can improve patient care. About 93 doctors and their patients with high blood pressure are involved. The goal is to see if this feedback leads to more medication adjustments and better blood pressure control.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple, low-cost way to help doctors manage hypertension more effectively.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 93 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The intervention only changes doctor behavior, not directly treating patients.
