Faster, better baby tooth root canals? trial pits two rotary file systems Head-to-Head
NCT ID NCT07672990
First seen Jun 29, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This trial compares two types of rotary files designed for children's primary molars: Fanta AF Baby and EndoArt Pedo Blue. The goal is to see which system prepares root canals faster and with better filling quality during a pulpectomy (removing infected pulp). Thirty children aged 4–8 with irreversible pulpitis in a lower baby molar will be treated, and the time taken and quality of the root filling will be measured.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Fanta AF Baby and EndoArt Pedo Blue pediatric rotary file systems
What this could lead to
If one system proves faster or more effective, it could improve dental care for children by reducing procedure time and enhancing root canal quality.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 30 children, so results may not apply broadly. Both systems are already in use, so major breakthroughs are unlikely.
