Race to save young livers: can immune drugs stop sudden failure?

Summary
This study is testing if two different immune-suppressing medications can help children survive a sudden, life-threatening liver failure without needing a transplant. About 160 children, aged 1 to 18, will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two drugs or standard supportive care. The goal is to calm an overactive immune response that may be attacking the liver, improving the chance the child's own liver can recover.
